Started a new game as the Byzantine Empire, and for whatever reason, all Catholics are listed as an Orthodox Heresy. Why would that be? What can I do to fix it?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
This might be due to a checksum error of the game using pre-existing settings from a previous game you may have played where you ended the schism. Just restart the game client and this should be resolved.
The problem is that I have done that. The game has been restarted several times.
This has been reported a few times. It seems that once you (or the AI?) mend the Great Schism then Catholicism will be considered an Orthodox heresy in all subsequent games. For some reason the game's base file seems to be changed (I think...) and I'm not sure what you're supposed to do about it.
