I'm not even Catholic, but that feels wrong, lol.
Yeah but he's fully God and fully man, so it's not cannibalism, because if you thought it was cannibalism then you'd be an Arian for thinking Christ to not be fully divineTranssubstantiation?
It is a Catholic tenant that the host and wine literally become the body and blood of Christ when consumed during Eucharistic communion. And yes, it is dogma.
Would be kinda funny to make an equivalent decision for Jewish courtiers so they could then be accused of blood libel, one of the oldest forms of anti semitismIt's not that far-fetched. Communion has a very cannibalistic vibe to it, even though people don't like to think it as such.
Really hoping that satanists are an option to turn off or on when reintroducedA cringe thing of course
It's kind of funny when you hear celebrities and other important people be accused of this stuff today.so they could then be accused of blood libel, one of the oldest forms of anti semitism

I severely doubt a decision for *one* character would be able to have any such effect on the faith as a whole.considering this realistic and "just a consequence of transubstantiation" is idiotic considering that transubstantiation is the belief that the bread and wine become Christ's body and blood in terms of inward characteristics and not outward; they remain to have the appearance of bread and wine. Taking this literally to say "I guess cannibalism is ok then" doesn't make any sense and I really hope Paradox didn't include some "wacky decision" to make cannibalism accepted based off of communion
There are so many examples of new heresies/sects/denominations that just took more literal interpretations of scriptures and dogmas, I don't think it is really that ridiculous. Obviously there is some innate taboo against cannibalism across most cultures, but it is always for spiritual/religious reasons that some cultures partake in it. I don't see how the eucharist -> cannibalism is so much bigger of a leap than the dual gods of Gnostic beliefs or reincarnation in Catharism.considering this realistic and "just a consequence of transubstantiation" is idiotic considering that transubstantiation is the belief that the bread and wine become Christ's body and blood in terms of inward characteristics and not outward; they remain to have the appearance of bread and wine.
