Catch 22- Personal Union and Alliance

What I really dislike is the way PU fails to represent the Kalmar Union (PU between Denmark, Norway and Sweden)
I think there should be two kinds of PUs, the one we have now and a semi-permanent one that can only be broken if the lesser part(s) go to war with the senior part. Don't know if this is relevant to other countries aswell.

It is indeed. Like I mentioned, Spain and Portugal is another example of this.

I don't think minors in Personal Unions can DoW either.

You're right, unless one can manage to taunt an enemy into attacking you I guess it's best to wait untill your master dies

The rollover text says you may only DoW your master, so it seems it is actually a bug. (or the text is wrong)

It's annoying either way.

It's not a bug. It's a penalty for having so many royal marriages. The junior member of a personal union can declare war, just not on their senior partner. When the senior partner ruler dies, the union is over.

This gives me an idea, can one of your spies try to assassinate him perhaps? I've uninstalled the demo already so I can't check this out myself yet as my game still hasn't arrived (grumble, grumble).

Spies can assassinate advisors, but not monarchs.
