Casus Belli timeout after conversion?

Hello,

Sorry if this is known, I did search for it. Is there a Holy War Casus Belli timeout after conversion or forming a new religion? I tried it all kind of different ways, but upon conversion I lost all my Holy War Casus Belli. I tested switching to another religion that would have the same HWCB, (orthodox->catholic vs. islam) but no luck there either.

I wondered if maybe there was a timeout to avoid exploit?

When I've created a new faith I kept the ability to wage holy wars. As long as you don't pick Pacifism or Dharmic Pacifism it shouldn't be a problem, though of course the valid targets may change.

Thanks Karlington! Can you tell me what your original faith was? Mine was orthodox. I did not use either pacifism. I tried about ten different reforms of various sizes, but never pacifism.

No problem! I've done it with both Catholicism and Insular Christianity, and both were fine with holy wars after for me.

So after you change from Orthodox to your new faith you can't holy war any Muslim at all? What view does your religion have of them, Righteous, Astray, Hostile, or Evil?
