DAW,

We will go with the IP address, if that avoids intermediate sites to deal with :) . Post it on here, I guess. Aim for 6pm on Sunday, Nov. 9th, EST, everyone.

Webhop, why don't you go with France at the beginning. I agree that the US may be a monster if run certain ways from the start by a human.

Also, I am assuming there is no need to follow history, but we ARE expected to break along the identified alliance lines.

EDIT:
I know it will not have as much effect in MP, but what settings? Normal/Normal?

Your answers sir:
Let us meet in VNet for chatting. I will provide the IP at that time for direct connecting.

I agree completely, having the US player be France for a few years is best for game balance. (Using the restrictions of course)

Yes, everyone knows what side they are on at the start. There is no changing alliances by humans....unless you get puppeted. :)

Per TrainWreck we meet Sunday the 9th at 6pm est in VNet. We will then direct connect to the server. TrainWreck, should those wishing to play but did not get a starting country show up in case we have a player fail to show? Be a good way to get a core of substitutes.

TrainWreck, you should start a new a new thread for us. Something like SNCG Game#1 (Sunday Night Casual Gamers). We could then post all communication in a more organized location. :)

Looking forward to a fun, relaxed game.

As far as your answer to experience Trainwreck, I have, for whatever it's worth, plenty of SP experience, and very little MP.

So, hopefully we won't get rolled, but if we do, well, that's why it's a casual gamers group I guess!:)

If you need subs, please let me know.
I can be available if notified in advance.
Obviously depending on the situation I would be needed to sit in for, the best case scenario would be to have explicit marching orders from the primary player ahead of time.

Let me know...

Substitues List

TrainWreck, looks like Willard and Iksender are willing and able to be regular substitutes for the group. Fangnasher, Policia Sanctus and Dogred from my regular group have mentioned they would not mind subbing when we find ourselves short. I feel should use Willard and Iksender first since they posted their willingness in your thread. Your decision.

Jxa536, right on! No reason to get all wrapped up in a wad if you start losing. It is a game afterall. I always learn the most when someone really hands it to me. Hopefully everyone will have the same attitude and just enjoy playing.

Hi!
I havan't read all the posts but i've played a multiplayer game on Lan. I would like to join you but I live in Portugal and I don't have any type of broadband( I will have it on December).
But my friend canadians, australians, americans etc, I did not reply to say this. I want ask you authororazation(I'm not good at English hehe) to play with you.

I would like to play with France or the Soviet Union(no I'm not comunist) but I the united kingdom is also an option.

One more thing: TrainWreck why are you using that avatar?

Are we going to be using Nukes?

They haven't been prohibited, so I guess yes. With the US player not human controlled for a while, they shouldn't appear to early.

Axis Folks:
If you haven't sent me your email address, please do....we should discuss a little strategy before kick-off

Yep, this thread is getting a little long...I will start a new one in a bit, starting with the players/teams. DAWs suggestion looks fine SNCG-1 it is.....

Howdy,

I just wandered across this thread and I was wondering if you've got another spot open? I've never played MP before, but I'm looking to give it a try. I'm a long-time wargamer and I don't mind sticking it out even if I'm getting blitzed!

AES,

We are looking to make this a regular group, so we will probably have room and/or need for substitutes or replacements. I confess, I am a little behind in keeping up with the names after the first eight, but we will form a list.

I think we are full for today (or I hope so....), but keep an eye open, or send me an email and I will keep an alternates list.

Just wanted to say thank you to DAW for Hosting, Trainwreck for organizing and everyone who attended tonights game. It was a lot of fun! I really encourage you to get the voice software DAW posted on page 2. DAW and I were talking back and forth and it really speeds up communications and adds to the enjoyment of the game.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Do keep me in mind as an alternate or a sub. I'm eager to try my hand at multiplayer (I'm a military historian too! :)
