So, with all the new patches, has anyone else noticed that the creation of Spain hardly ever happens?
In my many games so far, I've seen Castille constantly knock out Portugal and Aragon from being contenders very early. It also has the nasty tendency to form PUs and inherit Portugal.
But soon after beating up on it's Iberian neighbors, Castille soon forgets it's reconquista and almost always decides to gobble up land from eastern Medditeranean nations (Ottomans, Malmuks, Byz, GH) and go on African colony sprees.
What's also strange, is that while France is almost certainly a failure in every game, The WE and revolts never break Castille. England and France both hardly ever end up colonizing the new world in time to prevent the yellow blob from making the venture pointless.
Aragon can be beaten silly by every nation in the game but hardly ever loses it's islands and never becomes annexed as a result.
In most games I've played Russia and Scandinavia almost always form, Ireland is formed via revolts almost every time right after England gets finished wiping out all the Irish minors. (I'm thinking there needs to be very simple British unification missions all through the game, as England/GB never bother to reconquest it's lost mainland properties)
All I know is that Castille despises all things non-Castillian on the African continent.
