Since HOI4 introduced logistics and logistic strikes, CAS become more and more important. Rather than destroying enemy org, now CAS or TB can destroy logistics, including trains and also trucks. But from my experience playing No step back, CAS is somehow overpowered. With just 300 planes, I can destroy hundreds or thousands of log trucks within days. This results in incomplete degradation of enemy armies. Without proper enough trucks, there are no proper logistics. And without proper logistics, army org will dwindle.

The other problem, CAS is very cheap to produce. The downside is just their range, which is not a problem in European theater. I think paradox should rebalance it. Either introduce truck convoys and train with the AA guns, so they can strike back against the CAS attack. Or they should recalculate CAS effectiveness in log strikes. Since in real historical events, CAS is not that powerful.

The biggest issue is probably log strike. In addition to your suggestions, perhaps state AA should be able to fire back att planes performing log strike missions, Since they are technically targeting infrastructure.

But I agree CAS should be changed -- I always thought TAC and CAS should be differentiated in other ways than just range v ground attack effectiveness. If TACs were better at log strikes then at least you would have to pay more for it.

one should get the option to set logistics to night time, like what the germans did in WW2 so, the logisitc strike is not as efficient (the efficency should also be decrased).

You should be able to set aside AA/SPA to guard your logistic convoys similar to how garrisons work.

So I actually tested this unintentionally recently, because I forgot to turn historical focuses on and USSR joined the allies, along with everyone else in the world other than Japan and "Central Powers" Germany which got rolled.

As Spain, I built all province AA to max, covered entire air zone in radar, put 1000 jet fighters on interception (with enough refineries to fuel them), and lost because I could not stop logistics strikes from trashing supply in northern Spain. AI still sucks vs low visibility submarines though, lol. Pretty funny to watch AI navy bogged down by mines get absolutely roasted by tier 3 snorkel subs.

But even with all AA fully functional and >100 CIV IC on nothing but repair duty, I could not keep up with logistics strikes. Despite gaining fighters over time from production vs losses too.
