I was just wondering, what is the point with carrier? UK has lot of them, but I have no idea how to use them correctly. Should I keep them in same stack with battleships or on rear lines out of battle and try to bomb?

Also is there any fix going to be in core for sub vs cruisers/battleships battles. Subs are too good currently like everyone allready knows?

Subs are finally balanced now - I've never seen situations from 0.64 where subs were slaughtering 4000+ points of the RN before loosing first STR points. You just have to always keep some destroyers in your group. As for the stacking rules, CORE can't solve it alone - you have to wait for 1.06 patch.

Best use of carriers is IMO large group (approx. 10-12 ships) of 2 or more carriers with cruisers and destroyers support and full CAG support (4-6 groups). With right air and naval technologies, those ships should have nice punch in sea battle and some ability to support invasions. Planes ranges are not good enough to attack different sea zones on the Pacific, but works on the Atlantic coast.

BB's should work in their own teams (cruiser and destroyer support) as port blocade groups or hunting convoys.

Also, don't make stacks of just BBs and cruisers. Those ships were never designed to fight subs, as they relied on having destroyer cover. So, make sure to have a couple of destroyer flotillas in every stack.

Lets say there is 9 large ships and 3 destroyrs in stack. Would those destroyrs be enough to counter the regular 12 sub stack? Let's say both got standart 39-40 techs.

Also if carrier has CAGs, they automatically fight when the carrier goes to battle? They fight with regular strength? Would two carriers full of CAGs (with few upgrades and 2-3 destroyrs helping) work pretty good against subs?

I am currently playing 4 player multiplayer game and my britain is getting her navy's ass kicked, so that's why so many questions :)

Those are all good questions...
I can say that I had my ass kicked when I attacked AI Royal Navy groups (similar composition to suggested by you) when I used 4-5 sub stacks (Donitz as commander). For MP and "uber-sub-stacks" I would go for less balanced composition with twice as many destroyers, or better yet, if the German player is so predictable, for full 12 destroyer anti-sub patrols, with regular surface group in the next zone. If destroyers meet surface fleet, they withdraw ASAP and surface group takes their place. If they (decent level of destroyers) meet subs (basic medium or long range), they definetly kick their ass with some losses.

CV anti-sub patrols with basic CAG (roughly 1939-40) and destroyer backup should work as well, although it's much more risky. CV's would work better as invasion support and in fleet engagements.

Now I am starting to get the picture, thanks :)

When CAG is based on carrier, it fights continously for the whole battle as long as the carrier stays fighting?

Btw, what would happen is sub stack of 12 would meet 12 enemy subs? Both of them have sub attack on 0, so would they keep on shooting each other forever :) I just thought tactic of keeping 12 subs in front, who would win all non-destroyer stacks and keeping battleship stack behind hiding, if enemy happens to have destroyer stack coming :) Might work agaisnt italy/germany who won't build many destroyers.

As the royal navy my all my fleets consist of:

3 destroyers
1 carrier
2 or 3 BB's
5 or 6 CA and CL's

I never seem to lose a naval battle with this combo. :)
