"Feck" is pure Irish - see any episode of "Father Ted". The Northern Brits - including those who've lived down south for many years, as I have - put a full-blooded "u" sound in. A "U" so thick you could stand your spoon up in it. When I went to University my new southern friends used to wind me up now and again just to hear me say it.
