Hi,

I want to know why the devs put this system in game. It is breaking the trains system for me because the lines can't handle too many cargo trains spawning from my industrial areas and it is locking all my passengers line. Basically all my trains system got locked and I had to simple demolish some stations to get it running again.

Why not make cargo trains came from outside with imports, load the exports in the station where it arrived and go out from the map like in SC2013?

And I think it's a little immersion breaking a big train spawning from nowhere.:(

I was having the same problem; trains can create traffic jams just like trucks and cars. I solved it by splitting the passenger and cargo rails, starting at the edge of town, so that the two systems are each running on separate track while in the city. Now I'm no longer seeing backups.

I've had the same problem as well, but I have figured out a way around this to a certain extent. I put in passing loops around the stations so that through rail traffic doesn't have to pass through the cargo terminals or passenger stations. I have also reworked some of the rail junctions because they were too close to each other causing backups, and I have ensured that there is plenty of track leading from the cargo terminals to the mainline rather than having short stubs. The short stubs don't clear the mainline and cause the rails to stall.

These help, but don't solve the issue completely. Occasionally the cargo trains seem to back things up but I don't know what to do other than to let them teleport out of the way which they do eventually.
