Every aspect of the current cargo transport system is completely hidden from the player. My commercial zones are currently in a collapse since they are not
receiving enough goods. My industrial zones also are not getting enough raw materials. Trying to problems solve this has been a lot of guess work. Do i have enough trains ? enough cargo ships ? How many of my trucks are getting their goods delivered ?. From what i can gather it has been some all of the above.
My ideas for information on logistics overlay
1: Commercial demand for goods.
2: Industrial demand for raw materials.
3: Industrial production of goods and raw materials.
4: Imports of goods and and raw materials.
5: Rail Cargo total capacity and per station capacity.
6: Cargo ship total capacity and per harbour capacity.
7: A metric to tell you how much cargo is being lost in transport. (This would be an indication of grid lock and trucks despawning).
8: Delivery Tuck Fleet capacity and per Truck Depot capacity. ( A new Building it would similar to the bus depot but for cargo trucks each building can have a certain amount of available trucks. Build more to expanded your cargo capacity. Also building these will make commercial and industry happy.
9: Cargo Storage capacity. (new building idea a Warehouse that can store surplus cargo, Also just brain storming for additional building types to make industrial and commercial happy).
