An option for Career mode.
Brutal start would start the player with no mech warriors, no crew, and only a light mech to their name.
In brutal start you are limited to one planet until a merc company picks up your character at which point it moves into standard gameplay.
this means five through ten fights being on one planet with one mech, you get hurt or the mech overly damaged and game over.
What this would add to the game, A pick up point where light mechs are extremely important as you are one person and not part of a lance learning valuable strats against vehicles and locust mechs is highly important.
It would also allow for an easier or harder start once the game proper starts. As unlike the other ones where you pick a backstory you play it in this one.
With brutal start you will actually start with a faction and will be working with them until picked up. As such you will have a better rep with a faction of your choice. And if you make the right choices you could even start with an ECM mech.
