Hi,
since ive not found a thread to this topic i just wanted to check if anyone else find this anoying?

In my games, especially if the Caravaneers are near my territory, i do get the same offers over and over again (monthly sometimes), ive tried everything to make them stop, only accepting thier offers seem to help, so be forced to agree to shady offers to get some rest is far too near to the real wolrd! o_O

I would realy be happy if a Caravaneer would accept my NO to the offer and wont come again with this!
I have the impression the "No" button does the same as the "Come again later with this"-button...

Hope iam not the only one noticed this?!

Update 23th Dec.

Just for the ones who are interessted, ive created little mod which does that, each of the 3 caravaneer fleets now work on a year-timer, if you decline a offer, they will only contact you again after a year has passed, at least you wont get a contact each month anymore in worst cases :D

Now that's what I call aggressive marketing! I suppose it happens because they offer you stuff when they leave/enter your territory. They're either stuck in a loop of leaving/entering your territory all the time or your empire is so huge they constantly appear in your borders.

Sometimes the caravaneers will get stuck, where they enter your territory, leave it, choose a new destination, but the only way for them to get there is back through your territory, so they go back into your territory and offer you a deal again, leave again, and repeat. I'm not sure what breaks the cycle, but it definitely stops eventually or at least it did for me.

On the bright side, in my current game, I had the nuministic order add three generator districts and two max districts to like five planets for only 200 minerals each, which was pretty sweet, especially for a machine empire.

One of the more amusing edge cases I've researching space amoeba pacification, building an outpost in a chokepoint system that leads to one other empire and a dead end, then watching as they repeatedly enter the amoeba system, leave because its hostile, then return immediately because they've already visited the walled off empire.

God yes. I was fighting a two front war last night against 2 nations with overwhelming fleet power to mine, and I had so much Caravaneer spam. I think as others have said, they got stuck leaving my territory (there was some hostile aliens in the system they were trying to exit to) so would jump out of my border, then instantly jump back in again.

To fix it, you generally have to destroy what space lifeform is causing them to bug out. For me, it was because I pacified crystaline entities and claimed some space with a ton of them in it, so sadly I had to massacre my spiky space friends.. The caravan spam was too annoying..

Yeah, the annoying little buggers need a toggle in the setup menu.. They even managed to crash one of my Ironman saves after over 6hrs of playtime....

I had this issue (even described it in a forum few days ago - https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-make-few-adjustments-to-caravaneers.1139624/ ):
it's so frustrating where they go to your capitol and steal pops. it's even worse when they encounter something dangerous and turn back... to steal more pops.
not very funny to receive this even over and over again (my record right now is 20 stolen pops in 5-10 years)

so I think unless something changed there may be something dangerous on their way out which is forcing them to turn back.

On another note.. Is there a way to kill them off? My new megacorp could use less spam.
LEGIT or CHEAT?
iirc there is a console command to kill\delete selected entity.
also you can select your fleet, press attack button and target caravaneers. (you'll get a warning that it'll lead to a war with them, but usually 3-5k fleet is enough)

Just for the ones who are interessted, ive created little mod which does that, each of the 3 caravaneer fleets now work on a year-timer, if you decline a offer, they will only contact you again after a year has passed, at least you wont get a contact each month anymore in worst cases :D

Youll find it in the workshop "Holiday Fixes 2.2.3"

huh, it;s funny since i remember my last game or so getting some REALLY nice offers from them and so i kept accepting, and then finally it was like give us zro for crystals, and i was like, i can't even do that, so they stole 200 energy credits from me.

LEGIT or CHEAT?
iirc there is a console command to kill\delete selected entity.
also you can select your fleet, press attack button and target caravaneers. (you'll get a warning that it'll lead to a war with them, but usually 3-5k fleet is enough)

Doh.. So obvious I did not see it.. And yea, I usually play on Ironman, so no console commands for me. Thanks :)

I once took the only jump lane that was next to the caravaners early in the game. I would get multiple offers from each caravan as they left and then returned. By 2250 I had a huge fleet of cruisers and destroyers, but I didn't build any of them.

My friend who I was playing with was jealous.
