1 - The duchy of Austria has now many new provinces. I know, it was historically a very important region, from there the Habsburgs ruled an empire for centuries.
Well, one of those provinces is named "Štajerska", wich means actually Styria/Steiermark, but isn't even part of de jure duchy of Styria. It doesn't make sense, I suppose?
2 - Now exists the Carantania de Jure Kingdom, so why it doesn't include the duchy of Styria?
3 - The "Slovenia" region now includes at least two provinces, Krain and Pettau. I'm a little surprised there still isn't a Görz/Gorica/Gorizia province separated from proper Krain and neither Celje/Cilli from Ptuj/Pettau (or at least present as holding). In Krain there's still no place for a holding like Ljubljana/Laibach.
4 - Trieste/Triest/Trst was removed as city holding from Istria province to place instead Pula, and that's ok. Because Trieste needs to be the base city holding in the province of Aquileia instead of the absolutely less important Portogruaro (Yeah, it's PortogRuaro not Portoguaro).
5 - I like the addition of the new province of Udine. But there's still an issue: the castle holding just named "Friuli".
Originally there was a roman city called Forum Iulii -> Friuli derives from that name. The same place was later known as Civitas Iulia -> Cividale derives from that name (Yeah, it's CiVidale, not CiRidale). Now is known as Cividale del Friuli, so Cividale and Friuli are just the same place. Well, now Friuli is actually the name of the whole region.
So if you need a realistic name for a "Friuli" castel holding (or city holding, if you make Udine a castle holding, wich is probably better), here you can choose: Gemona del Friuli, Tolmezzo, Tarcento, Pordenone, Sacile, Savorgnan (as castle)
6 - Well, I would like to see some other details on the phisical map, like some of the bigger lakes (Balaton in Hungary; Garda, Maggiore, Como in Lombardy etc...);
Another thing I don't like very much is the coast of Dalmatia (upper part, from Veglia to Zara/Zadar/Diadora), but those are obviously minor issues...
7 - There's no more a de jure duchy of Dalmatia... that's disappointing.
Thanks for your attention and sorry for my poor english!
As the one who actually made most of these changes and mistakes, I guess I'll answer.
1. Though Steiermark took it's name from Steyr, the city of Steyr had little to do with the Duchy in most of its lifetime, as far as I know.
2. The Duchy of Styria went back and forth between the two DeJure Kingdoms through the development of Holy Fury, and I ended up letting it stay Bavarian. I agree it might not have been the best conclusion.
3. When I made the map rework of Austria, I went through a lot of different iterations of how I should cut up the map. In several of those iterations, I ended up with way too many provinces (I know some people think I did with the iteration I ended up going for as well). Sadly, that meant there were important places that sort of didn't get included. The reason Cilli wasn't actually used for anything in the end, is because I originally made a province for it, but cut it later on, so the name wasn't ever re-used afterwards.
4. I have no good answer for this, I agree 100% with you. And the mess up is entirely my bad, I'll fix it.
5. Another mess up from my side, and I've no idea why. I will fix this as well.
6. I agree, I would like to see some more of them, but it is more time consuming to edit the geographical part of the map rather than regions/province map. With a limited amount of time in HF, it was more important to get in the gameplay affecting parts of the map update, rather than the aesthetic one.
7. There is still a Duchy of Dalmatia if you are Dalmatian!
