So I've been reading about how you'll produce armaments such tanks as individual components and use them collectively to create brigades. I was wondering with this in mind, after a government has capitulated with some of it's forces intact will it be possible to seize their armaments for use in your own brigades. I've read that German capture of Czech tanks helped them greatly in their later war efforts and it doesn't seem out of the realms of possibility for this to be simulated in HOIV. So is this something that will be simulated?

To be brutally honest, apart from the Germans using captured Czech and French equipment, this didn't influence the war that much and most of the stuff they got was outdated by 1942.

Capturing general supplies and such works fine.

I wouldn't call that being brutally honest, I can handle if someone thinks it didn't influence the war much :) That said you can not really say "apart from the Germans using captured Czech and French equipment" as that's what this is all about.

Captured equipment was very important for the Chinese and during the Spanish Civil War.

The British certainly worried about the Germans seizing French naval vessels, so while it is uncertain how great a risk there actually was, such an event might be considered possible. I seem to recall there was a chance of capturing ships in port in earlier versions of HoI. Maybe a more realistic version of this feature would be a chance of seizing ships when an entire nation surrenders.

capturing naval vessels could make the naval war for Germany a bit more interesting, as they would be able to take on the Royal Navy in the North sea for example, or help the Italians in the Med if capture French warships there. Also fleeing allied nations to run to safety and then be seconded to a friendly navy, would work for air arms and some land forces
