Okay, so this is my second play through, the first was with SoA and WoL and this one has Conclave plus Monks and Mystics and Old Gods. Anyway, I think I'm doing pretty well, the goal being to form Brittania as soon as possible, last game I formed it but ran out of time before I could paint Europe that bloody red. I started as Murchad so naturally my capital is Thomond.

I hold all of Munster(I think? Where Thomond is) as part of my personal Demesne. I want to hold all of Leinster as well, those being my ruler's constant base demesne. I've read about dublin or whatever but I'm sentimental and like to be here in the south.

Anyway, I can't, for love, money, murder or popes get my hands on the two counties in Leinster that *aren't* leinster. I hold that one. And I want them. I have some stupid welsh county and that far north one in scotland instead. Can I switch my capital to Leinster to enable the revoke plot, revoke those two counties and then switch capital back to Thomond? Or is Paradox going to trap me in leinster or have me lynched?

Short: Can I switch capital to my other duchy, revoke two counties and then switch capital back without any time limit or other nasty surprises?

There is a 50 year cooldown unless you are moving back to the de jure capital of your highest title, which in this case would be Dublin.

So yeah, you're going to have to cool your jets in Lenister for a few decades if you wish to do it this way.

Or wait until you are old and about by to die to move your capital. When your heir inherits you can move back right away.

I'd say it's better to just move early. That way you can just grab the counties and if you die in less then 50, great, if not, then you'd have needed to wait that long anyway but have taken longer to get the counties.

Why not just revoke the counties outright? It only gives a -15 opinion malus for a mere 5 years. A character with player-selected traits should easily be able to afford this. In my games, I try to always have at least -15 or -30 from revocations at all times. It's a much more liberating way to play, and it allows for much more consistent consolidation and demesne management.

Moving your capital, on the other hand, is fairly expensive due to losing most tech progress.
