i should say same that to all hoi4 portrait guys who are very pro modern and victorian days games . dont get too excited about your cold war or vic or whatever is called because the shoke might make you in denial for a good period of time .
Can’t wait until they reveal it’s not Rome and everyone becomes disappointed

all antiquity games dont have norway . it actually almost confirme its a rome but exclude your hope of modern days game .
I'd hate a modern era game. Don't make assumptions. The obviousness of the connection between the recent teaser and Rome makes an antiquity game unlikely. Did you even read the other teasers? Why would they say something so obvious after so much vagueness. No Norway = Shams wearing a Rome 2 shirt.

Didn't they state after the very very vague early teasers that the hints would get clearer as the week went on? No Norway is a pretty clear nod to Rome since the land area of Norway was just cut off in Rome 1, and even if they put it in this time there would still be no 'Norway' on the map since Norway wasn't a thing in antiquity. It works well however you interpret it.

agreed . for mediteranians norway region didnt exist at all and the last tribe known there was local tribes of scania and sjaelland in the extreme south of sweden and danemark like the GAETS tribe .
mentioning that there is no norway mean that its kill the modern days game theories .
and for those who think that teases are somekind of conspiration or delusional messages or idk to make us BELIEVE something just to release something else those are very wrong . teases of games always make sense after the release and the only delusional here are your minds full with conspirations and theories and illusions about vic and and modern days etc ... .
i dont say its IS rome .not 100% but its still the favorite number 1 .
vic was denied months ago and fantasy game grand campagne is something that will not happend after the devs last year during or after pdxcon cant remembre . if you watch twiche and hear what the devs say sometimes to peoples in chat you will know what i mean .
you build your theories here on delusion while the awnsers of what you claim now was all denied over and over by various devs during the stream .
please watch paradox streams so next time you stop making bold (sometimes stupid) theories .

A Late Antiquity game is well within the realm of possibility, given the hints so far.
What I think can be said with near certainty is that if it's a historical game at all, then it's set before CK2.
Can't say for sure it's a Rome game, but it seems like clearly the best bet at this point.

That would be the biggest Rometrolling yet. Realistically though last year we allready got one or two clear hints or statements showing it was not Rome, this year we got clear confirmation it's not victoria but not a word about Rome. And every hint would fit a (spiritual) successor to EU:Rome 2.

No it does not, in fact most Rome games don't have norway. Rome TW had the landmass but it was part of the same province as Sweden. You could easily make it wasteland or cut the map before Norway.
I think that you ar ebetter of not thinking along the lines of GSGs, perhaps a magicka sequel? They did include the word spell in one of the hints.

Late antiquity would be interesting, but I don't see it as a standalone. CK II is from 8th till 15th century, so there's more room then the 280 BC - 27 BC timeframe.
