Agree.I beleive it will be a fantasy game! So disappointed.
Runemaster revival? What would it be if not Rome 2? They have repeated denied it's Vicky 3, so either they are blatantly lying to us, or it's something else. If it's not Rome and not Vicky, what other possibilities are there?
Yeah they love trolling us about Rome 2. I think they have said in the past that they want to do a fantasy game. It is probably that. It's a shame because fantasy is such an over saturated genre.
Runemaster revival?
You don't pluralise "good" when talking about good and evil. Goods and evils doesn't sound right at all. This is really grasping at straws, same with the spell thing.I think so. With a new name , probably.
Of course they ARE developing Vic.3 (it has a so great fan base that such a game will be big bucks) but as Johan himself said: "not this year".
Rome.2 /SPQR / Whatever ? Probably the same : somewhere in a future, but I think that the "teasers" point out to a different game.
Just think this. Johan says "amount of goods is important".
Everybody think "wow, he's talking about production, there will be production in this game!!".
But another Dev replied "Johan, you're just mean this time" (sort of).
So probably Johan was NOT talking about production but he wanted us think this way , while he referred perhaps to "goods / evils " or other aspects of the new game.
I would be so happy if it's a successor to Rome whether it's called Rome 2 or whatever. I don't fanboy or geek out about much, about anything really. But Rome 2 would be the one thing that would make me do that. It's because I do want it so much that I don't want to get my hopes up. If life has taught me anything it's to expect the worst so you'll never be disappointedNot as far as Grand Strategies go. Runemaster it isn't, that it isn't a GSG would be one of first hints.
It's very likely Rome's successor (wont' call it EU: Rome 2 as they hinted that they will make a game based on it rather than an actual sequel), not so much due to hints as much as due to the fact that they outright said they'd do it and 10 years anniversary is a good time as any.
Well, whatever it is, I'll be happy. I love all their games anyhow.
I still remember Sham's shirt. You don't pluralise "good" when talking about good and evil. Goods and evils doesn't sound right at all. This is really grasping at straws, same with the spell thing.
If Paradox were going back into the fantasy RPG thing they would have made the teasers much clearer in that direction in order to build hype and prevent disappointment. You don't want to hype people up about the wrong game, that's why they went to such lengths to deny Victoria 3.
Why? EU:Rome didn't bother with Scandinavia at all.The Norway hint excludes Rome.
If anything it hints at Rome considering how the EU:Rome map conveniently ended at the Southernmost part of Sweden. Why? EU:Rome didn't bother with Scandinavia at all.
Even if Scandinavia is on the map, there's no country known as Norway at the time, so "Norway is not on the map".
It doesn't exclude Rome at all.
