Can't turn off lucky nations.

Half way through my game I've noticed that lucky nations has been turned on, and I can't turn them off. I know beyond ANY doubt that it was off when the game started. Using 1.81 with the 4 dlc. Started under same. I turn it of in the game settings, and it just turns them back on.

Any help?

Edit: Nope that didn't work. The edit turned it off. A few minutes later it was back on. As I said, it's turning itself on. Seeing as I have never played with it on, it was DEFINITELY off at game start.

Did the nations turn lucky again? I.e. even if it says lucky nations is on, is any nation lucky? At least in earlier versions taking their luck like that stuck for me.

I know it's on by default. It's the 1st thing I switch of at install.

It switched on during the game. I know because Castile and France both have luck modifiers to the province revolt chance. At that point it go look at the settings, and, waddaya know, lucky nations is set to historical.

It's not an ironman game (don't play them), and I know with no room for doubt that it was off at game start. As I said, it's the 1st thing I switch off at install, because I never play with it on.

You'll have to delete all the luck=yes lines again AND change these lines (they are just before the start_date line):

The third number is the lucky nations setting. 0 is historical, 1 is random, 2 is none.
So if you want to disable lucky nations, change it like this:
