Can't start game via steam

I have an issue now after I reinstalled my OS and computer.

When I downloaded CK2 I tried to run it but nothing happens (I get the welcome screen where I see which mods and DLC I am using, after that nothing).

Another thing is that the welcome screen don't recognize my DLC, so I tried buying SoA which is one I didn't have, still didn't recognize it.

Any idea what can cause this? When I started the game the first time, no installation procedure started, which I assume should?

Just when I posted this thread I remembered that I don't have DirectX installed.

Fixed when I manually installed it... but isn't that something that comes with steam installation?

It's there, under c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Crusader Kings II\dx , but I think you have to run it manually.
