Can't scroll map

I just installed HOI on a new laptop, which is widescreen. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I can only scroll to the left in the game. I can't scroll any other direction so I have resorted to clicking on the minimap. I never had this problem before. There was one time I played the game that my mouse was fine, but the other two dozen times I can only scroll left. Has anyone had this problem before? Again, not sure if the widescreen has anything to do with it. Appreciate any help.
 
my friend says laptops are not very good for playing games. Not very suitable, I mean. I had a problem with the first Hitman game on my laptop, at the start it was all okay, but then it strted moving slower and slower. So now I only play games on PC
