Can't run any patch since updating to 2.0

Hey there. I have a steam version of CK2 which I play on a Mac OS. I've never had any problems before today, but now, after letting steam update to 2.0 and purchasing SoA, none of my DLCs work. They show up in the checklist when starting the game, but do not actually appear in game once the game has loaded up. I've tried verifying my game cache, deleting all the files on my computer and re-installing (several times) and just plain playing it without steam even being active, each time, it's the same, I have to option to select all my DLCs, they exist on my computer in the DLC files, but they don't actually show up in game. Has anyone else had this problem, and have you figured out how to fix it?

If you get into the game, what is the checksum it shows on the main screen at the bottom, left of the menu?

A series of capital letters? If I'm reading the right thing, it's CWJQ.
That's running all DLC except Sunset Invasion, Holy Order unit pack, and Warriors of Faith unit pack, and no mods (If that info is important.)

Is it that they don't show in the pre-game menu (after hitting SINGLE) as small round icons, centre-left? Or that they show there but not during gameplay?

They show up on my Mac (and I have that same, wrong, checksum).

They show in the launcher as clickable options, but do not show as icons indicating that they're active on the main menu. Nor are they active at all when I try to load a game (i.e. I can't play as pagans, muslims, republics, etc.). Of course, I'm not running the game through Steam actively, as whenever I try to load it from my Steam library, it crashes before the launcher even shows up (something I've already contacted Steam support with the crash report about), but I've never needed to run CK2 through steam before, the files are all on my computer and it loads just fine running as application without steam being active. Even now it loads fine, as vanilla CK2, anyway. It's just that none of my DLC are present in game despite being present in the launcher, and on my computer. As I mentioned in my first post, verifying the game cache, un-installing, re-installing, and restarting my computer have had no effect on the problem.

The Steam crash tells me you have some installation problem. When you did your uninstall, did you manually delete ALL leftover files (except valued save games, obviously from under BOTH Steam/CK2 and Documents/CK2 before reinstalling? If not, try that.

If that fails we might need to do a clean Steam reinstall - haven't had to recommend that on Mac before!

I had steam do it's "delete local files" thing, and then I deleted everything in the library/applicationsupport/steam/steamapps/common/ckii file, and also everything in the Paradox Interactive file in my documents (I didn't have any in progress games.) I don't know of any other CK2 file locations, so, yes, I believe I did manually delete all files before re-installing.

Do you have many other Steam games on Mac? If not too many try uninstalling them all, again manually delete all leftover files and directories (preserving any valued save games), and re-install Steam and CK2 from scratch.

I wouldn't normally suggest it, but the crash only when loading from Steam points to a file or cache problem within Steam itself, it seems to me. Good luck!

Andrew, that clean install did the trick! I now have access to my DLC's again, including SoA! Thanks a lot, man, this whole process has been frustrating and you were very helpful. I really appreciate it.
