I've had the game for a while now off of steam but finally wanted to register for the forums. Whenever I type in my CD key it doesn't give me any errors but it doesn't do anything either? Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know that only happens if the key is already registered. Are you sure you haven't used it before on another account? Also don't register any games until this is sorted out, since you cannot unregister games and you aren't allowed multiple accounts.
You will need either a mod or to contact the helpdesk; you should probably contact the helpdesk immediately and not wait for a mod, since that mod will most likely ask you to contact the helpdesk.
