I created Greece within the ERE somehow, and used dejure kingdom claim to take counties. Everything was fine before when I took control of the conquered counties before handing them out to vassals again. Rhodos was governed by a count under a duke though. So after I defeated the duke, the county didn't change hand, with the same count now a direct vassal to myself. Didn't notice it until recently that I can't raise any land levies from him though. I could raise ships, but not land levies. Would provide save games if needed (current save & the save just before Greece was created. Rhodos was taken sometime in between, can't remember when), if someone would teach me where to upload savegames.

Another strange thing is that a barony from the county Benevento (it's called the barony of Benevento btw) somehow gained independence from my ERE emperor. ERE captured the southern part of Italy in its imperial reconquest including this county. Its capital is a city and directly controlled by the emperor. Don't know when & how a single barony became independent, and its now under the control of an Italian Catholic baroness. My liege the emperor asked her to submit every 2 to 3 weeks ingame time, and she refused everytime  I thought the emperor would just capture the barony with a county claim, but it just doesn't happen. Now I get this msg of the baroness refused to submit in the low priority msg tab evey 15 to 30 sec or so, unless I have something else to attend to and pause the game. Is it a bug or something coz I have never seen an independent barony be4

Not sure if this "locked levies" bug been fixed in 1.08 coz I dun seem to find anything in the change log. If someone would confirm it's fixed in a fresh 1.08 game, plz disregard my post then, coz I still have the problem after updating to 1.08, but the game was actually carried over from 1.07b.

U would actually fix it yourself like Dracko81 suggested, change something in the save game file I suppose, or you would actually fix it in game by taking the former liege's title of your new vassal count (for my last situation descirbed in my first post), but its very annoying still. I have this problem again after my vassal duke of Charinson (can't remember the spelling, it's a duchy in Anatolia with 3 counties, one of it named Tyana) inherit the county of Karuva from his mother, and now his levies is locked again. I reckon it's something to do with either the former liege duke raising levies while the county change hand, or the retinue. The retinue is a portion of the levies rite? So when the former liege duke had a retinue, doesn't it mean he is actually raising levies from that county? Not sure, just my thoughts. Plz dev do fix this, it's quite annoying to find out that you can't raise levies from somewhere you supposedly could, while in the middle of a war. And I dun suppose we have to fix that ourselves everytime in the save game files huh? ;)

(plz disregard this post if it has actually been fixed in 1.08, and I just can't enjoy it coz my game is carried over from a 1.07b save)
