Can't purchase HTTT on steam...

So I go to buy the thing on steam and it says:

"Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy a game that requires ownership of another game you do not currently own. Please correct the error and try again."

Ok, so I do have ownership of EU3 Complete which was a boxed copy. So I try adding the game to my games list through the "add a non-steam game" option. It shows up on the list but I get the same error when I try to buy HTTT. I tried restarting steam and same thing. Not sure what to do or should I just abandon trying to buy the thing through steam?

You should try contacting Steam or going through the Steam forums with this question.

Personally, I think you would be better off buying from GamersGate.

I believe it counts as DLC, so to buy it off Steam you would need EU3C from Steam as well.

Just checked Steam, it's up now, but not on Paradox's page.

Just search Europa or something.

I have the Steam version of EU3 complete. If I can, I'd buy HttT from the Gate. Steam's support for Paradox games proved to be rather lacklustre.

This is why I avoid Steam and buy from Gamersgate, Impulse, or Direct2Drive when the game isn't made by Valve.

Ok, so I guess you can't use your steam login to get support. You need a seperate support login. I just said forget it and ordered the thing from impulse.

But now when I go to load it from Impulse it says I don`t have enough memory. This is obviously an error because there is lots of disk space. I have posted this on impulse forums and so have plenty of other people but there is still no response. I emailed Impulse support 2 nights ago but still no response. So I post here just in case someone knows the answer to this.

I guess I should have originally bought from Gamersgate but how was I to know... Paradox people on the forums here said it was equally available from all three and that it didn`t matter if you had a boxed copy of EU3 Complete (I specifically asked).

Wow, it's not your day. Someone else posted earlier with the same impulse problem, so it's not just you. So far I haven't seen a solution mentioned though.
