Cant pre-order from paradox store :(

I've got an issue as I'm trying to pre-order Hearts of Iron IV Field Marshal edition from the Paradox Plaza web store instead of Steam specifically to support Paradox more. I live in New Zealand and the price of the field marshal edition on the Steam store is $109.99 NZD but on the Paradox store it says that it's $89 which I assume is USD (I can't find out what currency Paradox Plaza uses) . The current conversion to NZD from $89 USD is $132 and 89 euros (like it says in the pre-order announcement post) equals $150 NZD. So I dont know whether I would have to pay $130 or $150 if I purchased HoI4 from the Paradox store and if so then why is it so much cheaper to buy it on Steam. Is this a local (regional) problem because I live in New Zealand?
Please help me as I really want to support paradox as much as I can by buying this game from the their store but am not willing to pay an extra 20 or 40 dollars to do so.

It's the USD amount if you are outisde Europe and yes, if you buy through the paradox store you will be out of pocket NZ$20. Even using the GMG 25% off it only saves us NZD$10 comapred to steam price. No idea why steam is so much less than the exchange rate. So steam is your best option. Though $110 for the FM pre-order is even a bit steep for my blood.

Yeah, Buy the NZD price on steam instead of Paradox. I think Steam sometimes slightly discounts foreign dollar amounts to attract purchases.

Not just slightly. In Russia the prices are hardly even a third of the price elsewhere.

Field marshal edition is 1500 rubles which is about 20 euros. Less then a quarter of the price.
