Cant play mp

I'm having trouble to play mp. Me and my friends both have ver. 1.08 b beta but still cannot play. it is saying that the ip adress is wrong.
What can I do??

I assume you're using routers, at least one of you.

If so, did you forwarded the Ports 2300 to 2400 to your computers local IP-Adresse(something like 192.168.1.33) in the SUA-Option of your router(maybe it is called not SUA but NAT) ? This is needed to play games over the internet...

yes my friend is using router but he didn't understand how he has to change it. and if I stay host (i dont use routers), will there be a problem too?

If you already tried with him hosting the game, it won't work when you will host a game too. What kind of router is your friend using? brand etc.? He should just look in the manual, I'm sure it is described there... if he can't to it, maybe ask a friend which lives near him and understands routing technology, for an expert it's only a thing of seconds to do it.

Just the Ports 2300-2400 forward to the internal IP of the PC your friend wants to play. Its usually called NAT, in Zyxel routers sometimes SUA too.

Post the information of your friends router (mark, type etc) and connection, and let's see if we can find a solution

His pc is networked..and he's the client not the server.

To access the Barricade™'s web-based management screens,
follow the steps below:
1. Launch your web-browser.
Note: Your computer does not have to be ONLINE
to configure the Barricade™ Router.
2. In the Address Bar, type: http://192.168.2.1
3. When the Barricade™'s Login screen appears, enter the default
password, and click the [Login] button to access the router.
Note: The Barricade™ default password is smcadmin.
The password is case sensitive.
Once you have logged into the Barricade™ web-based admin
screens, you have 2 options which are outlined in Navigating
the Web-based Administration.

Choose Advanced. Go to NAT settings. Set the TCP and UDP ports to be opened in the panel (2300-2400 and 47624). Set the IP address to your friends IP address (so if he has XP and ipconfig command gives 192.168.2.101 as his IP, then type 101 in each of the IP boxes at which you have defined ports to be opened).

Note, the Barricade router may have been set to accept settings from one computer ("server") only, in which case the changes have to be made on that computer of course.

Well, then somebody has apparently changed it (you are trying to do it from the "server" machine, not one of the "clients", right?). You should ask the person who set up the LAN about the password, my mental capabilites do not include telepathy
