Can't play back to 1.28.3

Hi everyone I've already posted elsewhere on the forum and they suggested to write a short version here so......

How can I play Europa Universalis 4, version 1.28.3 now?

If I go to beta and select 1.28.3 and click on LAUNCH (as someone wrote to do in another post) the games starts, it goes to the main menu and when i click on my save file.....guess what?

THE GAME CRASHES....

Integrity of the files resulted ok too

When you revert game versions it's best to delete at least the settings.txt file and /gfx/ folders, and let the older game recreate them. Does that help?

Of course if the save has been loaded and saved under 1.29 it cannot be played under 1.28.3

The games has been played only under 1.28.3

These file and folders you are talking about, can be found in the game directories of the pc right? Nothing to do with steam


Anyway, NOW WITHOUT DOING WHAT YOU WROTE HERE ANDREW I can actually play BUT it's really bad, I CAN'T play by clicking the game icon from the desktop as I used to do, I can only click on the game in the steam library, then I have to choose Launch, then sometimes it freezes for a few seconds...... What is this? It seems like I'm playing a cracked version of the game come on
