Hey I can't get Cities in Motion to run on my computer. I bought it from Steam.

I have the current Macbook Pro (2.2 GHz one) which includes the AMD Radeon HD 6750 M which more than meets the recommended specs.

When I open the game, the first time it asked me for my language, then gets stuck on a black screen. Now when I open it, it shows the two titles then gets stuck on the black screen. I've deleted the settings file, and even tried reducing the settings as I've seen in other threads on this forum. Please help.

Keep in mind that steam still hasn't fixed the problem concerning macs and viewing the cdkey, so if you have access to a machine running windows (perhaps a friend, at work/school?) you can log on to steam on your account on a windows machine and get the cdkey that way so you can register your game. The other option is emailing paradox and they'll register your game manually, but that may take some time.
There's some more info on this thread: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?539874-CiM-registeration-%28Steam-version%29

WOW so somehow, it has started to work! Hopefully this isn't temporary and I'll be able to keep playing. It's been over a week since I bought the game. I have no idea what would have caused it to start working today, the only thing that changed was an update to Steam? Maybe somehow it was interfering with it before? I'll attach my log_metro.txt from before it started working, it does end on "loading achievements...", isn't that Steam related?

That is interesting. As far as I understand it, there is possibility for this to happen if Steam freezes on getting the achievements from the server. Never seen it happen with my own eyes though. It could be for some reasons, the Steam services were unavailable at the time you started the game at first or an outdated version of your client failed to succeed retrieving the achievements. I'm pretty confident it will not happen to you anymore after that update :)
