can't launch the game!!!!

i just installed EU3. my problem is that after the introduction, i get an error message which says: "failed to create a graphics device. exiting"
do you have any idea what i should do?

What graphics card do you have? By the way, read sticky in top of this forum page about supported graphics cards if you didn't already.

It's most likely you have a video card that cannot run the game. Until we settle that DO NOT REGISTER THE GAME HERE as if you do it can't be undone. Check the Video card question thread stickied in this forum, and/or post details of your video card here.

If you don't know what it is, click on Start - Run and enter DXDIAG there. Click in the Save All Info button and post the first couple of pages of that file here pls.

Ah, the dreaded Intel video chipset. It will never work well (as they do not properly support DireectX 9, PixelShader or Vertex Shader in hardware), but you should try updating the video driver, and make sure you apply the EU3 1.21 patch (which should allow it to at least run).

Once that's done, if it still doesn't work pls post your settings.txt and system.log files, thank you.
