Hi there!

I am somewhat at a loss. I have W7 on both my desktop and my laptop and the network works well. When I try to connect Vicky I get the usual notice from Windows that the firewall is blocking it and then I make an exception for ingoing and outgoing "calls". I then Host a LAN game on one PC but when I try to join I see the other game but it is greyed out and I can't join.

I have ViRe 2.01 and I don't see what the problem might be. I also tried a direct cable connection but that didn't work either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Thanks for the answer. I am trying to set up a LAN game though, as I want to share a room with my buddies. And I am stubborn. Why is it impossible to get Vicky/Ricky to run in a simple LAN? Gnaaa! Why do I see the name of the Host but can't join?

This is bugging me ... :)

GameRanger does function as a LAN basically. You create a room, set up a password, up to 12 players can be in the room. Plus, when you're ready to play, you just hit the 'start' button in the room and the game will automatically load and host, subsequently auto-starting and joining everyone else in the room to that game.
