Can't join games!

Hey guys!

I have ver: EU2 1.08b BETA FEB 2 2005

Yet still I can't join a server who has the same version as i have!
And if i host, no one can join my servers

When i try to join it comes and error message saying:

What is the problem?

sounds to me like either one of you have some modified files that prevents you from joining eachothers games.

I recommend a complete reinstall of both games

And if i deleted every single file and downloaded and installed it again and it still doesent work?

Exactly how i did:

1.Removed save games.
2.Removed all my downloaded eu2 files.
3.Uninstalled EU2.
4.Restarted Computer.
5.Installed EU2, downloaded 1.08 from DLH.com and installed it. (my startig patch is 1.04)
6.Downloaded 1.08b BETAFEB 22005.
7.Cracked EU2 with the 1.08b BETAFEB 22005
8:Started EU2, tried to join server with same version. But still same message

What went wrong?

What went wrong?

After unistalling EU2 you need to delete the EU2 folder that is probably left. It might contain files of mods you have used.

Maybe it's your friend that still have an erronous version.

Well, with all the steps you mentioned + the step from Ironfoundersson between step 3 and 4 should do the trick. Make sure you unzip the beta patch in the right folder.

unzip? the only thing i did to it was to extract it and then use it as a crack!

DLH.com? the site I get when I try that, doesn't seem to contain any files for downloading..
now, if you mean DLH.net -
I assume you did download the 12MB file, unzipped it, and then ran the exe?

what exactly do you mean with " cracked EU2 " - where did you download the file, and what did you do exactly after that? (step by step)

i removed the ''usual'' eu2.exe and put the 1.08b beta feb 2 2005 in its place with the same name. (The game works and all that, just not the internet games)

You understand that there is more files in the beta patch than just the eu2.exe?

ya i know it is, but what shoudl i do with them?
never actually thought about them!

that might be the answer why i cant play on internet!

assuming you use winRAR (which is what I use)
you open the zip file, and then EXTRACT TO the directory where you installed EU2, all files should then go to the right spot (you'll have to say yes to a few "overwrite file?" )
and I imagine it is pretty much the same with other extracting programs.

I too have the same fricking problem. It just started yesterday. anyway I uninstalled, deleted the file my EU2 was in then reinstalled fresh and put on the patches. Still did not work.

I fixed it, all I did was put the patch on again. Odd stuff
