Are you talking about when you go to install patch1.08, you get that error message.
If that is the case, delete the patch file and download a new copy.

Remove the whole game. Then follow the instructions in post 4 of the self help thread.
Then do a fresh install from disk then just apply the 1.08 patch.
Also what publisher version do you have ?
Their logo will be on the CD.

I don't think Paradox is even up for Patch DLing.
You sure it is not a 1.08BETA that you Downloaded.
Take the patch from here.

Well the game is not licenced for a network so each user should have their own copy.
Yes it could. I would wipe the registry for all loggins and delete all copies and folders from the network that relate to the game. Then go from scratch. I did not know you had multiple copies installed.
