Can't give away Sunni Caliph title

Trying to convert away from Sunni as the Abbasids, but I'm not seeing the usual option to give away to Caliph title to my sons or brothers. I have done this before a time or two, and I don't remember it being that complicated.

My son has the Sayyid trait, follows the Sunni religion, and is already the heir to the Caliph title. However, he is only 15, so maybe you can't grant it to Minors. So I tried my adult brother instead (who is also Sayyid and Sunni) but the Caliph title does not appear on the "grant title" list.

Can someone remind me what I'm forgetting? Here are some screenshots in case this helps:

PS- This ruler became a secret Shia so I could join the Assassins. Would that block giving away the head of religion title from a religion I no longer believe in?

Might it be that they are unlanded and therefore the title doesn't show up? Just like other Ducal level titles don't show up if they are unlanded.

^ Thanks for this reminder. Had a brain freeze on the landed requirement for a religious head title- sorry for the stupid question.

As soon as I granted my son a county, I was able to make him Caliph. All good now.

just a note, you can grant landless titles to people with no titles, most religious head titles are landless, the Muslim ones are not
