Can't get Paradox Launcher to play Battletech from Steam

So I've been getting into a Planetary League that uses the Battletech MP.

I was told that its much better to install the Paradox launcher and use that for the game. I followed the instructions, linked my Steam account but now when I try to launch the game through Paradox launcher, it says that I need to install the game.

Anybody have this problem? And if so what did you do to fix it?

I Installed game the but it still says I need to install it!
Try emptying C:/Users/<username>AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive, then restart the launcher.


I know that it says this works to resolve this issue on the FAQ page, but I can't find this anywhere in file explorer.
