Can't find pirate mission tree

Hi

I already owned and installed the Golden Century DLC. I would love to try pirate nation like The knight, Palembung, etc.. The problem is when I can't find any pirate mission on their pirate tree. Is this normal?

The Knights are not a Pirate Nation, they are a Monastic Order
Palembang starts as monarchy, you should get an event to turn into a Pirate Republic before 1446, you will get pirate missions then

The Knights get some cool missions in Emperor I believe

That is not true, Palembang gets Pirate mission tree via event that switches it to Pirate Republic

Yes you're right Palumbang gets the extra missions when it switiches. I guess it just switches so fast I never noticed.

As stated above the knights are not the conventionally known pirates which is what Golden Century is for.

The easiest way to play as a pirate republic is making a custom nation. The second easiest is releasing a Caribbean Colony as Portugal and meeting the requirements to form it.
