So I ran my CK2 save through the exporter & started up EUIV as the Spanish Empire. A few years into the game I got the QFTNW & went exploring. Of course I found the Azores & that other little island right above the Canaries right away (Madeira?)
Problem is, both of them say "This land is too inhospitable to be colonized." Whats up with that? I thought the Azores was always colonizable? Its within range, so thats not the problem.
I did a search & found a thread from back in the day about EU3 where they had the same problem & it was because some mod or something had set the base tax of the uncolonizable provinces to 0. I checked & sure enough, both the Azores & the other island have base tax rate of 0.
Is this a bug, & the converter screwed their base tax rate up, or is this somehow WAD? I dont see what the purpose of not letting me colonize the Azores would be.....
