Can't click on an island

Hi!

I recently decided to try my first WC and after some awful attempts I've finally managed to get close to it. Year is 1740 and the only countries left are a couple of vassals which I'm gonna annex as soon as the cooldown for it runs out and NAJD. Thing is that Najd is an OPM holding the island of Bahrain and no matter how hard I try I can't figure out how to click on the island. They've got a couple of infantry regiments there and whenever I mouse over the island the tooltip shows them instead of letting me select the island.

So, any thoughts? I know I could use the console but I'd like to get the achievement...

Achievements are disabled AFAIK

The best advice I can offer is to zoom in as much as possible, always unclick the military unit before trying another click at the island.

In addition to zooming all the way in, try clicking on the lower right hand corner of the island. Can't verify that, but I've seen it advised on this forum, and it seems to work for me (that is, it seems like this problem used to be bothersome but it isn't any more).

If you just want to open up their diplomatic window by selecting his province, you can always use the ledger. Find Najd on that list and click the shield. Assuming you're on the right page of the ledger, the game should take you to the nation and auto select his capital province.

That is actually Bahrain's way of defending itself. Whole world against Bahrain, and the World can't beat it

While Bahrain hasn't been that relevant in most of my games in the last year, Corfu has, and it has the same problem. My solution to that has always been to zoom out to the larger map, and there is seems much less likely to select the army and the province.

I've finally managed to DOW them by opening their diplomatic window in the ledger. I didn't know I could do that.

No achievement, though.

Go onto the ledger, find Najd in there and click their flag, it'l select their capital.

Achievements no longer exist because Paradox discontinued Paradox Connect a while ago. Shouldn't stop you feeling a sense of achievement though.

I learnt it the hard way after I annexed my last vassal and I didn't get the achievement. Anyways, I feel pretty proud of my first World Conquest
