I have a game as a hivemind and halfway towards galaxy domination in the mid 2300s (ironman). I have just encountered a problem:
I realized that I could assimilate other species after going the full biological ascension path. I did it with parts of one species I conquered and gave them rights so they would not be eaten. Then I specialized them into mineral workers and soldiers and put some of my own species on the planet to do everything else that is needed on the planet.
So far so good.
The next species I conquered I inteded to do the same with them. Maybe specialize them into something else. I changed their gene-pool and hoped to change their rights after they were part of the hivemind. I was greeted witht the options to give them living and citizen rights and everything else I could do with them (conscript them, limit population growth....). However, after I tried to click these options it locked me out of changeing the rights for 10 years but it didn't change the citizen rights and by the time they were able to have the rights changed again they where gone and so were some of the planets were they lived on....
I later tried it again. The rest of the first assimilated species worked just fine as they already had living rights. But the other new species can not really be granted citizen/living rights besides them beeing part of the hivemind.
Now I am stuck on the Ironman save one daybefore the gen-modification finishes for them.
I don't want to loose about 70 pops that would be able to produce a lot of credits.
Can anyone tell me where I went wrong (and why it worked for the first species) or how I can combat the potential bug? Any help is greatly appreciated.
