I just started a GC as Turkey and wasted no time in being aggressive. By mid-1419 the Duchy of Athens was mine and I decided to turn my troops towards the Byzantines (who control Thrace and Morea).
By Sept. of 1421 I have control of Thrace and Morea, and have destroyed all trace of Byzantine military and navy. But then when I offer peace, I do not get the option to annex? WTF!
They are not a major nation (I replaced their golden shield with Portugal from the start of the game), so why can't I annex them? I have 100% victory over them, yet I can do everything but take Thrace. What's going on?
Stranger still, I decided to keep my siege of their provinces and in 1425 they cede Morea to... Denmark!
Why Denmark? What claim did Denmark have on Morea? There weren't even Danish troops in the Balkans. But then after Morea went to Denmark, I was able to annex Thrace to my empire, thus destroying Byzantium as a free state.
But my question is, why couldn't I take Morea as well? Why does Denmark get the province? Denmark wasn't even at war with Byzantium!
Thanks in advance for any help
