Can't access my DLC

So, yesterday I decided to buy some portrait and unit packs and all of a sudden all of my dlc stopped working. I already owned the major and some minor dlcs and they still do show up in my Steam DLC list as "installed", however when I try to start a game, all that shows is the Mods that I have installed. I can't even click the DLC button and when ingame, none of them are active. Anyone else having problems like that?

Edit: I already did a complete reinstall, did absolutely nothing.

Please start by verifying the integrity of your game cache.


How to verify the cache:
* Load Steam
* From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
* Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
* Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
* Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.


If that doesn't work, delete the CK2 directory from under the MyDocuments folder and try again.


Lastly do a clean reinstall to ensure that all the game files are removed before installing the game again.
UIinstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

Thank you for your reply Unfortunately none of these work (the only thing that changed is - now the mods are gone too, but that was to be expected)

try unchecking all of the DLCs in Steam, then add them 1 at a time and check by launching to see if anything shows up.

Good idea, doesn't work unfortunately, neither with DLCs that worked before nor with the new ones :sad:

do the clean install again, including "my docs" and then only install the base game, followed by one DLC at a time

Did try that, but it still doesn't work. No matter what I do, the DLCs dont show up in the Launcher

Do the DLC files physically appear in your Steam/SteamApps/common/CK2/DLC/ folder?

Are you saying they are listed in the Contents button in the game, but just as Inactive?

Do any of the round reassurance icons for the major DLCs appear in the second game menu?

If you have access to any other computer, can you try installing there please, as a test?

I was just about to check again when, for some reason, the DLC appears now. I have no idea as to why, because I literally did nothing after trying last time.. except for playing Dota 2, but that's hardly related I guess
