Cannot register HOI3 or Semper Fi with Steam/GamersGate codes.

Hi, I recently purchased Hearts of Iron 3(mac) on Steam as well as Semper Fi(mac) on GamersGate.

The games themselves work fine, besides an issue with updating SF to 2.04e, however the registration codes that both distributors have given me do not work.

For example; out of two codes for Semper Fi, one is too long, the other too short.

Ex: One is this format: *****-*****-*****-*****-*****-****
the nest is: ****-****-****-****-****-****

For the Steam code, it is the right length but is recognized as invalid.

Which is in this format: *****-*****-*****-*****-*****-****

Any help would be appreciated!

If you have access to a PC and log in to your steam account on that, you'll get the pc codes. They are easier to just register. The other code you see is for vpltd.com forums since they handle tech support for mac games.

Aah so I need to register HOI3.. Why is then that I have access to the Modification sub-forum of HOI3?

Also, I do not have access to a PC with Steam currently.. I may be able to try something, but otherwise I won't be able to register?

One thing: How would accessing Steam via PC change the code from what I'm seeing on my Mac?

With EU3 at least, anyone can read the User Mods forum but you need to be registered to post there. I assume HoI3 is the same.

Steam change the game to work with their client, and that n turn changes the checksum.

I got Hearts of Iron 3 from the Apple Store. It works great but I didn't get any cd key.....
