Cannot Launch The Old Gods (Windows 8)

Hello,

After Purchasing the Crusader Kings II Collection from Steam, I have been attempting to start CK2 with all DLC running. Unfortunately, The Old Gods DLC is not running, though all other DLCs (as far as I can tell) are running.

In my attempts to fix this issue, I have attempted multiple things. I have uninstalled CKII and deleted all local files and paths in an attempt for a clean install, and it was unsuccessful. Additionally, I have disabled and re-enabled the DLC in the Launcher in hopes that that it was not recognizing that it was installed and selected. That too, has failed.

I am currently on Crusader Kings Version 1.103 Checksum CQLL. I can post any logs asked of me.

ahve ou try to open the onlineshop inside the game? it work for a friend of me there had the sam problem..

Have you restarted Steam in any point or tried restarting your computer. These two things usually help with dlc issues.

I have done both and the Old Gods is not running.

You bought only the collection pack? If you did that then you don't have The Old Gods as its not included in the pack as it was released after the pack was made. The collection pack is missing the seven newest DLC's including The Old Gods.

That explains it. I guess I was confused when the launcher was acting like the DLC was installed and ready to go.

Yeah you have the patch installed that gives AI the features so the AI pagan rulers will play on those rules. The DLC ables you to be able to play as them. The game and all dlc's are currently in 75% sale on Steam if you are insterested to still buy the missing dlc's.

The in-game shop is for the GamersGate version only, the OP has the Steam version.
