Cannot Join Vassal Holy War (as Germanic)

The title says it all. I'm a reformed germanic pagan ruler and one of my vassals declared a Holy War in a nearby catholic county. I cannot join his war, while the pop-up says I could only join if it was a Crusade/Jihad or a claim outside my realm. Well, his war is for a county outside my realm and isn't the Holy War a pagan equivalent to Crusade/Jihad anyway?

Plus a bug: the county of Hringaríki port in Norway is mapped to Tyrifjorden sea zone in Iceland. When raising the ships they go out of the port all the way up to Iceland instead of the nearby sea zone Scagerrak.

The holy war is not the equivalent of a crusade. The equivalent is a great holy war or some such, and you'd definitively would have gotten a notification about it

But it's weird that you can't join. I know at least for unreformed norse a liege can join his vassals conquests CB.

I'd guess either you have a truce which can be obvious but sometimes easy to overlook, you recently raided the county and need to wait for the hostile flag to cool down, or a reformed ruler just can't join his vassals.

Well, I didn't have the raid flag, but I do ended helping my vassal that way anyway. Just went there and raided the shit out of my vassal enemies and crushed their armies. Took waaaay to long for my vassal actually win the war, but at least he did. But, well... would be nice if I could had actually joined in...

This is your answer. If it's just a regular holy war, you can't join it. (And it's not a claim war for a title outside your realm because he's not using a claim CB if it's a holy war.)

Oooooh, I got it all now. Understood already the difference between Holy War and Great Holy War, and now I got why I couldn't join since my vassal didn't had a claim on the county.
