Cannot get Sword of Islam to work!

So I bought Sword of Islam a few days ago and played it a bit and it was fun. But then when I tried starting the game today it wouldn't allow me to play one of the Muslim rulers. I'm not sure if it is because of the patch?

When starting the game up it is on the list of DLC's and is checked, so that is not the issue either. For some reason my checksum if PFPL, not the LFOE that should be the checksum of the new patch.

Then you'll need to do a full clean reinstall.


If this is Steam: uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

If GamersGate: Move valued save games elsewhere, and uninstall the game. Manually delete the CK2 directories from where GG put them and from MyDocuments. Reinstall the game , download 1.06b patch again and apply it.

Now the version is correct, LFOE, it is in the list of DLCs, but when I start up the game it shows SoI as being available content to buy and still does not allow me to play a Muslim, since it says I do not have SoI.

This is a problem that others have encountered. Try starting the game within the Steam screen (not from the start menu Steam option). That took care of the problem for me the first couple of times, and then I could start the game any way I wanted.
