I have just hit this limit.

200 hours played. I have played only one map, the map I started when I bought skylines. 419k population. I do not wish to start all over, I was enjoying my map, my city. Why start over in the first place if I am just going to hit this limit again?

Hopefully you had autosave enabled or manually saved recently.

You can easily get it much bigger, just install the CSL Stats mod and Show Limits mod to monitor all of the limits. But you'll need a previous good save first.

I have a good save, and installed those mods.

It says I have 8 under the limit for buildings, but when I build just a few elevated roads or tracks it says I've reached my limit.

Does it count elevated roads and tracks as buildings?

Probably not roads for buildings. It wsill count bus stops as road segments though.

It does count RCI building you have zoned. They may have grown back on their own and maxed you out.

Try dezoning some 1x1 - 3x4 building areas. Usually on curved roads or along river fronts.

It might take a while and you mazy start losing money, but it should recover rather quickly.

Same thing here. City has reached 400k population. Tried to fix a rail line, destroyed a rail bridge and tried to reconstruct it. No luck. I can build roads and zone but that is it. At this point, it would be hard to continue working with this city. Such a shame. Would love a mod or fix!!!

They chose to cater to people with shoe-boxes for computers, and so we're stuck with this limit. From what I read on Reddit, it seems like it's embedded so deep in the fabric of the game that it's practically impossible to mod the limit... The devs could do it, but why would they, since it's hard and costly and maybe 1 % of all players will ever even run into this issue? I think we're out of luck until C:SL 2.0 on this one. :(

If you can go back to an older save or autosave/quicksave, you can probably continue.

also, it is strange you reached your limit with tracks but you can still build roads (tracks count as roads, as well as, sidewalks and bus stops and probably other mass-transit stops). Maybe only tracks lock up on limit but others may still work. but not for long if you don't keep removing unnecessary road types.

There are, "Show Limits" and "CSL Stats Panel" mods that will reveal most of the limits so you can monitor your progress.

It's likely that you have "phantom lanes"; there is a mod that removes them.

You are rather quick for early Sat morning. Looks like a phantom limit of some kind or a corrupted file. Ran limit showing mods and I am still ok there. I will check out phantom lanes mod.

Don't thank me; it's KnighthawkGP who did the work.
