Hello,
I hit the wrong button, so I detach the cag-brigade from my carrier. And now I can't attach the cag-brigade
back again. I also may a test with battleship-brigades, all fine.

Have you waited the required 7 days? Are you in a proper port where deploying divisions or attaching brigades is permitted? I suspect that you did not encounter a bug, but just regular game mechanics that are rarely encountered.

Actually, many times I have encountered "difficulties" attaching brigades (of any kind). The brigade is ready to re-attach, and the unit taking the brigade is indeed in the same politically oriented province (flags match) as where the brigade was dropped off. I can even attach the brigade to ANY other unit that can take that brigade EXCEPT the unit that dropped the brigade. Meanwhile the unit that dropped the brigade can take on other brigades but, when trying to take on the brigade that was dropped (CAG in this case) the + symbol on the unit does not show its full thickness.... so indicating that the selected brigade will not re-attach to that unit.

Relax... I have always managed to somehow "jiggle it" so eventually it does take the brigade. Try moving the CVs to other port than where CAGs were taken off. It might be you need go to Gibraltar, Malta or Alexandria for those difficult to attach CAGs to slip back on. The political flag(s) of provinces where CAGs were removed and taken back on must be same. Another thing I have sometimes done was to save game and fully shut it down.

Good luck.

Very simple detach all 3 CAG-brigades from the 3 carriers, additional detach 3 light cag brigades. All in the force pool. Waiting 7 days, click on the force-pool, click on every
brigade there is in the forcepool, there are no ship to attach. The other way click on Carrier, click on B+, no jump to the forcepool, remeber the forcepool is not empty.
Same in Norwich, Dover, Cherbourg or The Rock.
my AoD 1.10 EQPW, absolute Vanilla, 1936 scenario.
Now I test to build a new cag-brigade.

Did you try closing game?

Your mention of Cherbourg is worrisome as it indicates you may not be aware of the rule that brigades dropped can only be reattached in province with identical political status. A CAG dropped in Scapa Flow (UK flag) can never be reattached in Cherbourg (which is normally French flag, or UK flag over German flag if UK controls that province, or possibly some other flag combination such as USA flag over German flag).

Hence, if you lost Scapa Flow after detaching the CAGs there, then you can't attach them anywhere. But I think that isn't the case as I'm sure you would have mentioned it since losing Scapa also indicates probably lost the British Isles).

More likely you encountering what I described... and need to "jiggle the game". So try shutting down (fully including your PC) before you build new CAGs. Good luck.

You are welcome.

I figured Cherbourg was a en passant as in just another try to somehow "jiggle the game". While that's terribly non-technical, it perfectly describes the many irrational fixes I have found for various "AoD mysteries".

So, you could not reattach the original CAGs? Too bad.
