This has been irking me since I bought Darkest Hour many years ago...
I get that Canada was only quasi-independent during WW1. But in all the patches I've played up to now, Canada will invariably run out of metals to produce goods with. Normally, since your resources are chained to the UK, once it hits 0 it replenishes. But by 1916 you stop getting any from your British masters. This makes no sense. Canada supplied large war materials for the western front, not vice versa. I would like this to be fixed.

I would also like Germam oil supply fixed. I played Soviet 1941 scenario, got pushed by Germam all the behind Dnieper river. Now German panzers stopped attacking, because they are out of oil in the middle of October 1941! Historically they had no problem with oil until August 1942.

That is true, TK3600, but you may have changed history if you built more MOT, ARM, and airplanes than they really had in 1941.

I played Soviet, German is AI. The game and war began at the same time. I played better than Soviet historicallg. I prevented huge encirclement, but still lost 1 million man in less than half a year. The war is now turning into WWI, which means even less fuel consumption. I am now tempted to give Germany 2000 oil just to keep game going.

The game and war began at the same time? Non-historic start date... ymmv.

At any rate, the problem lies in Canada being a 'puppet', which in DH terms means you give all your resources to your overlord, who sends back a portion for you to keep for to function. I guess I may change the files and have Canada be independent for WW1, because as it stands it makes no sense.

Did you deactivate coal-oil conversion, as it will avoid automatic oil conversion for ALL countries, AI and Player.

Scenario 1941 is supposed to be historical from june 41. If oil conversion was on, this means that initial german oil reserve could be too low in the this scenario, or that oil trade with Rumania is not well simulated.
