I pre-paided for HOI about a month ago because I had to exchange a game and there was nothing there at the time, anyways...
I phoned EB a couple of times to ask about the release date, and each time i had to convince them that the game actually exists and will be out soon. For some reason they keep thinking it's some kind of flight sim. After a couple of minutes of explaining to them that it's a real game they eventually find it on the computer. Sounds like the 28th it'll be out, hopefully the 27th.

Verified that HOI would be coming into EB's in Regina on Nov. 27. There have apparently been a ton of phone-in requests for the game (the guy behind the counter said more people called about HOI than UT2003), so I plunked down $5 and reserved a copy. Price listed as $59.99 plus tax. That's all I know.
I put five bucks down here in Regina too....Waiting for the call, although they never mentioned the 27th to me, they said Thursday.
Probably just to keep me from bothering them lol.

Hey Niptium, Nationalism is a thing of the past. The "Pur Laine" have no more claim to Quebec than anyone else who lives here.
I think it's a pity. The sovereigntist movement has been given a very bad name by the PQ thugs. A more corrupt bunch of goddamn crooks I have never laid eyes on.
But now, Separatism is a thing of the past. The French Canadians have everything they want and more. Quebec has never had a better deal, and things would slip disastrously if we separated. The only people still complaining are:
a) racists
b) powermongers
c) sheep
Thank god for Montreal, the greatest city in North America. The PQ have been trying to squash Montreal for decades, probably becuase the people who live here are intelligent, polyglot, and multi-cultural. We are not ignorant xenophobic sheep.

I checked with EBs all over mississauga and toronto. They all seem to say that their computers show tomorrow. I did talk to one guy though who is waiting for the game, and he says today. Since it's already out in parts of the us and in montréal, we should get it today. Woo.
I too went to Les Ailes in Montreal (downtown) about an hour ago. They DON't have it <sniff!>
Couldn't get near the guy at the counter. Everybody was swarming to get some Pokemon video game.
The other place that I pre-ordered it from, Camelot Info, in Place Ville Marie, said they hadn't received it yet either.

As I posted earlier in another thread, I bought my copy at Les Ailes at 10:30 this morning. They had 4 behind the counter but said to call first if I told people on the board to go, which I did. My apologies for not posting it in this thread, but it had fallen off the front page when I posted in the thread about buying the game (Called "I have it in my hands (Montreal, Quebec, Canada!)")
Uglyduck: I apologize anyway... I had not read the whole thread past Niptium's last post in French so I did not see what had transpired. No excuses though I know since my post really was largely... unneccessary... I am sorry.
Ruffler: You should have tried harder... they had it behind the counter. I went at 1:00pm and I got the last copy they had (probably would have been yours if you had forced your way through the crowd of Pokemon fanatics!
Incidently for all you Montreal types: I have a 5 PC LAN, and I am thinking of hosting a regular HoI campaign... you know, everyone gets together Grognard style. I have some players in mind, but more are always merrier, especially if you have a HoI capable laptop you can bring and add to our capacity!

MoO3 is down to 12/17! HoI wins by 3 weeks!
Remember a week ago, when we were all upset because HoI was delayed from the 19th to the 26th? At the time I said "well, if its a choice between HoI and MoO3, released on the same day,..."
Well, MoO3 has been pushed back (again! - it hasn't even gone gold yet!) HoI is now the game to get! It seems pretty solid now, I can only afford one game right now, another in the new year.
The race for release has been almost as exciting as replaying Star Trek Birth of the Fed - again and again and again...
(Just to fan the flames, please remember the Canadiens cannot separate from themselves, though they may wake up one day and decide to kick the rest of us out! )
