Well, maybe it`s because Canada is a peaceful country :rofl:Nottingham said:Uggh. This is harsh. I can't believe the world just forgot about us.
A real mistake in the marketing strategy if you ask me

Fredrik II said:It seems like several shops wanted to postpone the release of some titles during January due to the focus on the Windows Vista launch in Canada the same week. Our distributor decided to ship the game out later in the territory. It should be reaching stores this week.
Tomorrow I will have more information after meeting with our distribution partner.

Fredrik II said:In an hour I'm going into a meeting with our distributor. Thanks to everyone in this thread for updating us on these issues so that we can give feedback directly.
Finding any game 5 years after their release date is usually hard, except maybe for monster titles like DiabloII or the likes, so it's not really a surprise that EU2 is sold out.Adm. Torrey said:Seeing how we can't buy EU3 in Canada I tried to buy EU2
guess what......
can't buy that either.
Paradox does however make awesome strategy games so when they finally do figure out how to ship stuff to Canada again I will look forward to buying it.
Adm. Torrey said:Thanks Fredrik, finally after several weeks someone recognizes there's a problem with distribution and might be doing something about it.
If I were the boss at Paradox heads would be rolling because of something this incompetent.

Did anyone think of calling UPS ?
I bet they could solve this problem in a hurry.
coreymas said:First off this is not the first thread about not having the game in Canada. Trust me Paradox was aware of the problem very early on and was active in trying to find out what had happened. So i recommend you retract your statement as it is false.
And just so that you dont think i am directly bashing you -- EU2 can be bought at the Paradox Plaza website in the Strategy Six Pack for 19.99 US. A hell of a deal if i ever saw one.

Adm. Torrey said:I am well aware that EU2 & 3 can be purchased outside of Canada and then shipped to Canada.
That's not what this thread is about.
I was probably a little hard on Paradox for forgetting to market their product in Canada....but rightly so.
And now it appears (as of 2 hours ago) that some action is happening......17 days after it was supposed to be available and a lot of complaints.
Without customers Paradox would be dead in the water and the best place for their customers to comunicate with Paradox is here in this forum.
If it took me more than 2 weeks to respond to a very serious customer problem I'd have an even bigger problem.
I still don't understand how you forget about a market of 33 million with the highest internet & computer usage rate in the world.
Adm. Torrey said:When I say respond to this problem I don't mean recognize that it exists but actually respond to it, and to let your customers know that your doing something about it.
Sh*t runs downhill and when you want action on a problem you go the one that is ultimately responsable......Paradox.
There the ones who dictate how their product is to be marketed.
And there the ones who one way or another have to make sure the problem's fixed.
